"WC842 This powder, is a double based (spherical) ball powder, used to load the 5.56mm NATO Ball M855A1 round. Developed for reduced copper fouling, this results in better accuracy and longer barrel life. Use Hodgdon H335 data. Burn rates can vary dramatically from lot to lot. ALWAYS BEGIN WITH STARTING LOADS! This is pulldown ball powder."
Anyone tried it? Primarily using 100gr NBT or 95gr vmax

I'm sure it's OK, but I will say with American Reloading, take to heart their note on working up your own specific loads. I have some lots of different powders from them that are considerably weaker than the listed analog, and some that are considerably stronger. Also, for what you want to do, I'd look at the MP475 actually, I'm seeing good reports on that powder.

I don't know about WC842 but I have some WC844 and it is supposed to be similar to H355? Been using it for blasting 223 ammo.

I wouldn't buy the stuff personally. They're pulling down current M855A1 (W842) because it has propellant problems. W844 and W846 is pulled down because it is surplus.

Im with centerfire on this. Ive used the 844 with great results, same as H335. I would either research the 842 or pass on it
Having said that, if you work up a safe load and dont deviate from that you should be ok.

I've used WC-844 that is supposed to be similar to H335. It works well for 120 grain Grendel pills and I'm using it for 5.56 loads too. The biggest headache is each time you get more it's another lot and you need to re-do your load development. Because of the I ordered 16 pounds and it was less expensive in larger weights.
