This is a second report in a series of SW Match Rifle powder tests.

Starting with data from the Shooters World loading PFD.

Starline brass, CCI #41 primers and a 2.260 COAL
Im switching to the Sierra 130 GC, instead of the Sierra 130 TMK used in the SW data.
The book calls for a min charge of 25.0 grns up to a max of 31.0 grns
Power is dispensed with a Chargemaster Lite
Using a Howa Mini 20 HB
3 shot groups recorded with a LabRadar
Pretty much a Standard day, 60f/ at Sea level
Grns/FPS/ES/SD
1. 28.9 2373/ 32/18 ( 1.0 3rd)
2. 29.2 2412/ 7/4
3. 29.5 2431/ 3/1.4 (.71 2nd)
4. 29.8 2447/ 20/11
5. 30.1 2473/ 29/15
6. 30.4 2486/ 27/14 ( .7 Best Group)
7. 30.7 2495/ 28/14
8. 31.0 2525/ 13/6.6 (1.2 4th)
Once again no signs of pressure or anything else for that matter, just a nice steady predictable increase in speed across the series. Looks promising. Powder burns clean also, really clean. A plus in my book.
Ive never put much stock in 3 shot groups, if any but, there looks like there is at least some potential there. Especially for just throwing these loads together, with little regard for concentricity, neck tension or having any idea what the jam or jump is/was with this combo?
Going to try some 129 ABLRs next out of the CZ 527. Ill have more mag room to work with and a 4 longer tube. Maybe get north of 2650? 2700+? Well see.

I think it is a little early for any real world temp stability numbers that are believable. I couldn't find anything real either. I'm testing some, but it looks like spring and the 60s have arrived to put an end to my cold weather data collection...

I cant find it either. Im working on the assumption, its not going to be great. For me, these are hunting loads, i.e. close range, and Im not going to agonize too much over it. And more than likely, its going to be a second tier powder in a pinch, when the first tier powder is not available.
Data has been hard to come by. Lovex, the manufacturer, doesnt even show anything for the Grendel.. At least none that Im aware of.
The other fly in the ointment, is Shooters World doesnt seem to be very responsive to email inquiries. So far mine have gone unanswered. Just crickets.

the 129 class in my RAP is shooting well, MV-wise. Going to get back to it once I cycle a few other pipes thru the rotation...

It is best to go to their Facebook page and post there and they will either give you an answer there or will give you the email address of Ken Johnson as he does all of the powder testing for them. He will answer you but it might take a week or two. He is extremely busy but he will answer your questions.
I have emailed him in the past and he or someone from there will give you an answer. I don't have his email address at the moment to give you and I am not on Facebook anymore.
