Be extremely careful with your fastener torque when installing that mount.

I have several Aero products that I love, but I'll never own one of these mounts after seeing where they sacrificed in order to make weight.

When I recommend a scope mount, rings, or any piece of gear, it's because I've lost count of how many different options in that segment I've had personal experience with and what works vs what doesn't. It isn't because I have one and think it's cool based on that single sample size and am self-validating. It's because I want to protect people from making the same mistakes I have made or have seen others make, thereby passing the savings off to you.

I would not trust that lightweight mount to even take a bump, just based on what I've seen. It's not worth the initial appearance of saving a few dollars if you lose zero in the field, and hunting rifles tend to take a beating.

I've installed a few and really backed off the torque spec with my Wheeler FAT Wrench.

If you don't have a torque wrench, I highly recommend them, especially if you're looking for the most accuracy from your rifles.

Here is why. Depending on what size rings it has and how much offset it gives the instructions on the box ( if they still put them) give wildly diffrent torque specs.

The scope rings are a huge pain in the backside too work with and get the scope level. Not a single one of the 5 I had would hold zero. You can hold the mount in your hands and flex it, when I mean flex it, you can feel and see it twist.

Straight up those mounts are best leavt too the 3g crowd. They are not meant for hunting/defensive are precision shooting with a optic.

Where it will break is the recoil lug on the bottom, it's too thin and weak and when you torque the screws down it will shear the recoil lug right off.

As I stated in my first response I use and suggest the leupold ar mounts. I can't think of the exact model I'm useing now but it is basicly idiot/bomb proff yet not overbuilt and heavy are bulky. Not to badly priced either.
