Having an upper built for my 6.5 Grendel. Need a suggestion for a good barrel. Money not a big concern, but do want the best for the money. Will be going to use the Rifle for hunting so 16 or 18" is good enough for Virginia hunting. Thanks.

krieger, bartlein, lilja, ect are considered some of the best, 600 or more
the group buy is well received.
you really should pick a budget, and expectation

Im driving home from the range right now. I brought my 12" krieger from precision firearms and my 12" faxon group buy. The faxon is in an ar pistol and is plenty suitable for hunting but it's not fun to shoot at the range anymore when the Kriegers worst groups are half the size of the faxons best.

I should say I'm really interested in fine quality for the money. I'm familiar with Shilen, White Oak and Walther. Accuracy is paramount, but quality is always attached with accuracy.

I have multiple Faxon barrels 14.5-16 inches in AR 15s. They work good with no problems. Not over or under gassed. Good price point and shoot on point.

Precision firearms.Craddock,patriot Valley,white oak,Shilen,and a several I can’t recall.I have gotten quality barrels from all of these and been happy. You’ve already stated you have the money but what’s your timeframe ,how quick do you want it?
If you’re looking for a hunting rifle quick ,a criterion hybrid 18 inch pre-fit will be more than adequate. I own several criterion pre-fit barrels in different calibers and I’m happy with all of them .They are easily moa or better,depending on ammo.And you can have one delivered from Brownell‘s within a week.
Right now any custom barrel will take you 10 weeks or more. I’ve been waiting since the beginning of November on barrels from both Craddock and Precision Firearms. I’ve called both Mark and Paul a few days ago and still haven’t gotten an ETA from either one of them.

Satan is cut rifled and liberty is button rifled. Liberty is going to be the grendel II mutt chamber and the satan cut rifled barrel May say sammi but you better do a chamber cast to make sure. They are on my never do business with list.

Just purchased a 20" stainless steel DRM barrel from ODIN WORKS. Accuracy is outstanding. They guaranteed 1 MOA and at 100 yards I'm getting 1/2 MOA. DRM barrel is NOT a light weight barrel.
