I am getting ready to start annealing for the very first time ever. I have several hundred sized case and am wondering if it's ok to anneal these and then load or will they need to be resized?

I anneal before sizing. No clue if it is better or not, but I always end up with a few case mouths that need to be made round again anyways. Why size the case twice?

Anneal prior to sizing. Whole point is to get brass evenly tempered so that shoulder setback and case neck tension are as uniform as possible. 750 degree Tempilaq is quite useful in setting initial temp and annealing cycle/duration. You don?t need to over anneal brass, and that can happen in fractions of a second. I anneal after every firing and have some Hornady brass past 8 loadings.

Anneal before your next sizing. Don't anneal after, there's no benefit. It won't hurt anything, but will waste time. You'll still want to anneal prior to your sizing step. I've had an Annealez for about a year. I'm testing what happens when I anneal cases every time. Started with some Federal. In every case with those, the primer pockets got too big before I lost any due to neck issues. Neck tension was still consistent at 5 loadings, the pockets were loose at 4... and I run light loads with Benchmark and 120 SMKs.
The Hornady however, has been a different story. I have 20 cases that are currently at 12 cycles, going strong, trimmed once at 9 firings.
If I had to put value on the annealing process for Grendel, it's neck tension consistency. Top marks here, there are just fewer issues with it when annealing every firing.

I only anneal when I start getting split case necks.....
Not too concerned about neck tension, ....
I also use an Annealez, sure makes it easy.
