OK I'm in ordered a barrel yesterday. Dies came in yesterday and converted 50 new rounds to 6MM. I have Hornady dies for 6.5 Grendel and I ordered a 6 Creedmoor seater hoping I could shorten it if need be. It came with my Redding Bushing die and I popped out the floating piece in the Hornady die and it's the same length as the 6.5 G floating piece so I'm set for seating. Now the wait for the barrel.

Always liked the idea of this and have been kicking it around with a friend of mine for sometime. I had a chance to shoot one in TX sometime ago out to 700 yards and it was nice! All that changed yesterday. X-Caliber had a BF sale of 30%off everything including custom barrels so I ordered one in 6mm Grendel/243 LBC. It will take about 8 weeks for it to get here.
I also ordered dies and bullets. I am subscribing to this thread so please post your progress and I'll do the same.
Should be a fun science project!

Lt, if by chance the Hornady body doesn't screw down far enough into the Ram to perform your seating, they have a "short-body" seater and a "long-body" seater. I got one of the short ones somehow and it wouldn't screw in far enough (forget which caliber it was but o well), and called them, they sent me the body with the longer seating (7/8-14) threads so it works now. Keep this tucked away just in case.

Barrel came yesterday and it has been gaged and assembled and ready to go if the weather would cooperate. Xcaliber 24" Bull Barrel,11 degree muzzle, on a side charging upper.
