Range Report: Loki Upper - OldCannon - 01-17-2012
Finally got my Grendel mags from AA and was able to take my shiny new Loki Upper out. Here's what I was shooting:
- LMT Lower, single stage trigger (prob about 6lbs and kinda crunchy)
- Loki Upper: 18" Barrel, Carbon Fiber handguards, FailZero BCG/Handle
- GRSC Scope: 1-4x, FFP (grscinc.com)
- Wolf Ammo (120gr)

My eyesight isn't what it used to be, and that Predator rifle rest is teh suk without weights to hold it down. Had to adjust after each shot (sigh).
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the results. Took about 20 shots to zero the scope, since I tried using "Kentucky Dialing" instead of actually thinking it through (I never learn my lesson :p ).
The tiny holes at the bottom are fliers from .22 shots being fired in the lane next to me. All in all, I think I did fine for 100 yds.

I have a feeling that once I get my Viper PST 2.5-10X on this beast, I'm going to be sub MOA consistently. With my eyes and the lighting, it was VERY hard to stay centered on the target at 100yds, so I'm happy that 5 of the 7 were sub MOA. I was very pleased with the performance of the Wolf ammo too, although my brass took a beating from the extraction process (I'll be taking that up with the Loki guys separately...I think it's just a tweaking issue).

Glad you posted that target OC; I shoot at Red's North, too.
Given the ammo, the scope magnification, the poor lighting at Red's, and the lousy benches that are too high and don't give you enough room to really hunker down behind the gun, that's really pretty decent grouping.
I'd sure like to get behind your PST when you get it in. I'd be happy to trade a few shots with my Grendels.

ya you should get way better then that once all is in play...but its not bad considereing all you had to do.
