Testing this time around went a little bit better than last time. The TMK round seemed to perform just fine, penetrating well, but looking more than half of its weight along the way and (no surprise) experiencing separation of the cup and core.
Managed to make a great shot on a coyote, only to have my recorder freeze up on me and the shot was not recorded. I stopped the video prematurely to simulate where I was aiming when I pulled the trigger. The video actually froze up a couple of seconds later, but several seconds before I actually pulled the trigger. No real surprise on the damage to the coyote, lots of it, but their heads are rather fragile.

DNS... Thanks for the report. Sounds a lot like a 123gr SST IME. Except for the case & core separation.

The cannelure on the 123 grain Hornady SST helps to keep the jacket from separating from the core. I don’t think the Sierra 107 grain Tipped Match King or other Match Kings have a cannelure.
Very good video DNS, thanks for posting. Curious to see if the TMK can get any consistency which is problematic with match bullets.

So I'm curious, given the choice - if you were handing a rifle and a box of ammo to a friend tomorrow night, I kind of get the impression you'd probably just hand him a box of the TNT 90's still? Though, in all fairness, TMK is a match bullet, so it's actually doing pretty darned good - for a bullet not tuned to be a hunting bullet.

Oh yeah, I am still very happy with the TNT 90 ammo by Federal. However, getting to try new stuff has turned out to be pretty interesting.
