So i am at the range with my 6.5 Grendel, This gun has 3875 rounds though it with no problems, It is a 20" OdinWorks barrel and matching bolt with an adjustable gas block, BCM Milspec Carbine Stock Mounting kit standard carbine buffer 2.9oz, and 2/3rds of the way through the day it suddenly starts giving me problems. It is failing to eject, Now i had also cleaned the gun prior to this trip but i had put 130 rds through it before it started giving me problems.
At the range i examined the bolt and bolt carrier and did not see anything wrong and i checked the throat of the barrel and again did not see anything, If i pointed the gun up the case would just drop out so it was not sticking in the throat of the barrel. I have not had a chance to do a further examination as i was getting tired that day and i just packed up and went home but i am thinking gas/gas block problem an i on the right track ?, Thanks in advance for any help you can give me, Brian
So i finally had a chance to really look over the Bolt and i found the problem, I found the Extractor was chipped and their was a small piece missing. With my old eyes i missed it.

Take a close look at your ejector. Is it broken or chipped?

Unclear on nature of failure. Is it failing to extract, or is it extracting, but not ejecting? Is it trying to cycle in the next round? Is it locking back the bolt, but just not ejecting?

Thanks for the replies folks, I have not had a lot of time to do more but i will try to update you all,
Popeye212, I have not had time to check the gas tube/block, The rings on the BCG look fine.
sundowner, I have never cleaned the gas tube,
37L1/ NugginFutz, the ejector is not broken or chipped, It looks fine.
lazyengineer, It is trying to cycle the next round but is not ejecting the casing in the throat, The casing falls out when i point the rifle up so i do not think it is the case sticking. and the bolt does lock back.

Roger that, you are not under gassed from that description. You have an extractor or ejector issue.
Extractor spring is bad - test to see how easy you can move with your finger.
Extractor rim is broken off.
Or
Ejector spring is weak.

Extractor is not doing it's job. Bolt locks back, so it is. Case falls out by gravity. I suspect weak or dirty/bound extractor spring.

I still have not had time to work out what is wrong but i am thinking extractor spring, I forgot i had an extra Bolt i purchased from BluntForceTrauma's group buy and i just put it in and everything is working great. I will update once i know, Thanks for everyone's help, Brian
