I just finished building my 6.5 Howa mini action with my home brew stock, from a Boyds blank. Now, I need to start working on the right load.

I’m taking it out for a barrel break in session this morning. Probably won’t get any serious testing done today. I do have five different loads worked up, with 3 shots each, using H335 and 120 gr Sierra Match HPBT.
According to Howa, I need to shoot 10 rounds, cleaning between each. Then 10 rounds, cleaning every 2 shots. I don’t know if you really need to do all this, but I’m not new to how’s break in and I have some good shooters. My howa 6.5 Creedmoor will do a 1 inch group, .5 moa , at 300. Not bad, for a $400 action.

Just letting you know, I did the, one shot clean, one shot clean for 12 rounds. After breaking in the barrel, I shot 5, 3 round groups, cleaning after 3 shots, test powder charges. My first group was 2 inches. The second and third were less than 3/4 inch. Then, I had a problem, my scope was loose and the last two groups were not counted. Anyway, that little rifle is gonna be a shooter. It likes 25 and 25.3 grains of H335.

You know how I broke in my howa mini grendel? I shit slow fire for bout 40 rounds then however I felt like for anouther 60 rounds then cleaned it and worked up loads.
It will do 5 at or just under 1/2 inch at 200 yards. When I do my part.
