I reload and i have a 6.5mm suppressor so i would go with a 260 remington or 6.5 creedmore because of my suppressor.

You're jumping into the deep end of the pool. Maybe look at a 16" PSA if you want cheap. I don't like store bought rifles so I'd put my own together with an SLR or 2A receiver set. Aero has inexpensive builder sets though. Economical AR308s are often loaded with problems.

Go with .308. Endless ammo options are economical and it's cheap to reload. Barrels also have extremely long lives. If you get away from .308 on the platform, you will also have gas timing issues, etc. Those issues can be resolved in other calibers, but it takes $$.

I just purchased a PSA upper and lower in 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm sure you get what you pay for. I'm prepared to deal with a project effort to make it work. Just put a scope on it a bit ago and am thinking of trying it out on Monday. This could either be a success or a total POS.
This is just to play with, I have a TRG for a real 6.5 Creedmoor.

I have a DPMS GII Hunter, 20" 7.62X51.
I like my DPMS but I will say that aftermarket parts are thin at best. I'm not sure what the easiest platform to upgrade is but it's not the GII DPMS's.
I would also like to recommend the .308 for the AR10, one can find good quality commercial ammunition and a bunch of reloading stuff to make it less expensive to feed than one of the well known/liked chamberings.
I would also recommend a barrel length of 20" or an 18" but no less. Let the ballistics of the .308 work for you.

Steep learning curve here. Do your reading before you decide to snap up anything. Most "deals" in the AR10 world that I've seen are the leftovers no one that knows what they're doing want. Cheap is dangerous in this arena, and is 99/100 times a mediocre deal at best. Be warned, do your due diligence prior to pulling the trigger so to speak.

My father has a 308 dpms that he loves it’s a damn good shooter like sub moa out to 200 yards and routinely takes 500 plus yard shots with it.

I wouldn't. I'd get a Grendel, and shoot it at anything I'd be trying to take. If I wanted to shoot at game beyond the Grendel's envelope, then I wouldn't be taking an AR10. Too heavy, too finicky. Simple is good when you're pushing your own and your equipment's limits, and the AR10 game isn't as conducive to these ideals. For the money I'd spend building a good AR10, I'd take my bolt gun, and just be practiced and ready.
Tikka Tac3 A1. Cost here is probably less than an economical AR10 that would perform well.

Personally as the others said, and my son has an AR10 Creedmoor (heavy and bulky) I am loading for. If I can't use the Grendel because of range or other reasons I have a bolt Creedmoor and a .270 that are much easier to haul around than an AR10 platform. Either one is more than capable.

I put a reprofiled barrel in one and it weighs 7 lbs (no mag or optic)
There are certain instances when 308 Win does outshine 6.5 Grendel
Not a whole lot of them but it is a harder hitting round

Youre going to get biased opinions on this board.. obviously. Ive built several AR10s. Yes, theyre heavy. But,.. if you want one, buy/build one!
I will say that I would go the 6.5 Creedmoor route over the 308. Bulk 308 FMJ ammo will be cheaper but around here factory ammo prices are a wash. Nobody can deny that the Ballistics on the Creedmoor will trump the 308 and the Grendel.
AR10s are usually over gassed, youre going to need an adjustable gas block. Secondly, you cant mix and match with a AR10 build. Parts are proprietary- meaning if you want to build a Aero Precision AR10, use there parts for the build... generally speaking.
Ive got a Palmetto State AR10 and a Aero Precision AR10. They both are shooters, the aero is of higher quality.. obviously. Both are an absolute blast to shoot!
