I found this data on AA online load data. This may be old news but I thought I'd previously looked at the AA online sight and they didn't list any data for any AA powder in 6.5 Grendel. I just bought a pound of AA2230 to try in my 16" barrel and thought others may have not seen this data from AA for the 6.5 Grendel. I had much better velocity in my 24" barrel with AA 2250 than I did with the AA 2230 and H 335, I tried, used the data available from the Alex. Arms site. I shoot primarily 120-123 grainers that leave the tube at avg. 2600. I used some AA 2015 last spring for fire-forming some R-P cases that stilll small primer pocket.

I use 2230 for fireforming with light bullets and wimpy loads just because I have a can and don't use it for anything else. It's too fast for 120g range bullets, and 2520 is much better for that range.

2230 is great for lighter bullets. I personally think it doesn't get any better for 108-95 grain bullets.

I was going to use the AA 2230 with some 95 Grain V-max and some 100 grain Nolser BT plus 100 Sierra 100 JHP. Don't know how they'll do but thought it was worth a try in my 16" barrel.

AA2520 is a much better powder than AA2230 if you are interested in higher velocity.

Note that Alexander Arms lists Accurate 2640 for many lighter bullets with the highest muzzle velocity. It does well with 100 grain bullets.

I think you meant 2460. I'm going to try that next for my 100 grn. GMX units. I contacted Ramshot , asked them if 2230 and x-term were the same powder. They said yes , both from the same drum just different labels. Great powder consistant, way too easy to clean the rifle afterwards. Virtually no carbon buildup. I'll post my GMX 's when camera works with me. Great to be here again! Dan

Like I said, that depends on what weight bullet you are shooting.
