Hi Guys I am new to the forum I have an upper on its way. I was wondering what recommendations you guys have for magazines. I see some guys have had issues with elanders.How are the asc and C product mags?

Elanders typically need a lil brake in.
Asc have been hit or miss but mostly hit for me.
Cpdefense has been outstanding since I had my first two that were straight trash, but cpd warrantied them and every one I have now 10 and 26 rounders have been spot on.

I think your biggest problem with elanders is finding them in stock! I've got one coming from Larue. It's been on order for months. I about gave up. Either they're really good or don't make enough. I've read they're good quality mags. I've got some CProducts to test out as well

I just got another 17 round E-Lander 6.5 Grendel mag today. I now have 24 6.5 Grendel AR-15 mags and still have two back ordered from LaRue. Since E-Lander has hit the market they are the only brand I’ve purchased. As soon as I get new E-Lander mags I load them to full capacity. All my E-Lander mags have been good to go, 2 ten round mags, 2 twenty four round mags and 7 seventeen round E-Lander mags.
My ASC and C Products mag work but I prefer the E-Lander mags. I have not purchased any CPD mags. YMMV

I recently got 2 cpd mags. 5 rounds for hunting. Ive not had any problems with them.

While we're talking magazines. Is there a difference between C products and Cpdmags? It doesn't look like it but curious the distinction if there is one...

C products is the name of the old company, they are now cpdefense.
I had some off the old c products the 10 round mags were ok but anything higher round count was junk.
The new cpdefense mags are really good, plus if you have a issue call them and they will send you a new mag and take the problem mag back no questions asked.
Truefully don't matter what company makes the mag they all need a lil brake in and some cleaning after a couple of full ammo runs through it, maybe a feed lip tweak once and awhile.
Elander, CPD will serve you well, more so if you take the time to brake them in, clean them good and maintain them when need be.
Edit to add.. If you hand load cpd and asc will give you the most room for handloads inside the mag, unless you window the front of the mag then you can go a bit longer still.

I admit, I had to Google what it meant to window the front of a magazine. I will be reloading and measuring round length but I gotta get the rifle broken in and some brass piled up. Then maybe one day I'll tinker and come back and figure out how to window a magazine.

I use cprod and pmag 10 rd mags with no problems after break in.
