Anybody have recommendations on a light weight 13 to 15 in handguard in the 125 to 200$ range? I am in process of updating, I am going with a 20in barrel with an adjustable gas block for suppressor use.

I've been really happy with my 2 ALG handguards (13" V2 and 10" V0). For the money, ALG is tough to beat!
I also have a Midwest Industries SSG2 12" rail and a Geissele Mk4 15" that are great. I'd gladly recommend any of them, but to me the ALG has the best combination of robust mounting system, low weight, and low price.

I have two of the ALG's. Really like them. Simple to install. Light and slim.

I'm currently working on a build for a friend and am using an Aero Precision Quantum in FDE. Found it at Top Gun Supply with the barrel nut for a little less than the ALG.

Some people will snicker but, the UTG Pro slimline are some of the best light wt hand-guards for the $$$ around.
I have really expensive ones that I wish I never bought but, the UTG Pro, Aero Atlas S-One, STNGR and GrendelHunter hand-guards are some of my favorites for 2018.
They are well built, solid, have great Warranty if ever needed and dont look like swiss cheese or chicken wire to be light.

I have two different 15" models of the STNGR.USA handguards. They run $125 to $135 depending on the model. They are really light and strong aluminum made right here in good old USA. They are very easy to put on. The barrel nut does not need timing for gas tube and the handguard slips over the barrel nut and has anti rotation notches that rest on the upper frame. It has a metal key that fits in a slot that is on the bottom of the handguard that has a notch that fits in a groove on the barrel nut and the key is held in place with two hex head bolts. Took me longer to type this than it does to install it. Go to http://www.stngr.usa and take a look.

I absolutely love my G3 MI Mlok I run on my BCM recce. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a quality piece out front. The ALG stuff is really nice too, but my MI seems better in the hand, and a little lighter to boot.

Seekins MCSR V2. Slightly larger diameter, 1.8, but you can fit a SLR adjustable block under it. It will also cover most suppressors, if you go that route later.

on the MI does the barrel nut come with or is that a separate purchase?

With respect, the OP is wanting a handguard for a 20" barrel so won't be needing to enclose the suppressor with the guard. Even if he purchases an over-barrel/reflex design that comes back down the barrel they are never any longer than 4". I don't think anyone makes handguards longer than 16".

My choice would be SLR Rifleworks Solo range. All Solo's shorter than 15" are under $200. I prefer SLR because they are made from 7075 T6 aluminium. Almost all other brands of handguards including Seekins are made from 6065. 7075 imply they are stronger with less flex (all other things being equal, which they are not). Obviously the shorter you get the less it flexes too so up to you how much rail length you really need but I have no use for a rail longer than 12". If using a Solo then their set-screw adjustable block fits with clearance but I don't think their clamping model does.

MI includes their own barrel nut and a wrench attachment to put it on. Does not have to be timed. Instructions are easy. I've standardized on the MI's and have 3 I really like. I will admit that that Stngr looks nice... https://www.stngrusa.com/ by the way.

I'm a big fan of Midwest and ALG. The alg does NOT come with the wrench needed to put it on. It's $5 extra and you have to remember to add it to the cart if you go that route.
