Andrew Dugan, a Gallup researcher, blamed the temporary spike on a phenomenon often witnessed after high-profile mass shootings, noting the issue spiked 4 percent after massacres at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012 and the Pulse nightclub in 2016.

When I posted about "dissatifaction with government" I was going to say that is why Trump was elected but then realized there was no way anyone could tell if it was dissatifaction WITH Trump.
The same is true with gun control. Is the problem too much proposed gun control laws or not enough?
If someone from Gallup asked me I would say gun control is a problem and there is way more of it than the Constitution allows.

And that's not a smart-a$$ answer. If you're pro-gun, you probably think there are too many gun laws. And if you're anti-gun, there are not nearly enough.
