Now that I have a suppressor on order, and need a barrel. not sure what length or contour I am going with, but want to keep it light weight build
My concern is barrel whip if the contour is to light.
So, for those of you that are running a suppressor in the 6.5 Grendel, what length and contour are you using?

My thoughts...You are not going to be able to identify barrel whip on the target with an AR. There are other more influential variables that will conceal whip in what is a light-weight semi-automatic. It's a non-issue. What is an issue however is the quality of the barrel; the profile, how it is made and who makes it. Thin barrels may exaggerate whip but more noticeable will be the drift on the target due to the barrel flexing as it heats up.
Choosing a barrel for a suppressor is like the tail wagging the dog. The barrel is the gun. Everything else hangs off it including a suppressor which is an accessory. Figure that out, and then choose a barrel that best suits, then choose the suppressor. Sure, if overall length is an issue it will bias a shorter barrel but if sound mitigation is not absolutely crucial to the reason why you want the gun then all it will do is dictate the handguard and muzzle threading.
What typical shooting will you be doing with it?

My question is based from my experience with my longrange shooting rifles.
I know nothing about these ARs , I am a true beginner.
