Which supressor - Trueblue - 03-26-2018
Looking at 3 different suppressors, and would like feedback. They all seem to be about the same weight,but wanted feedback on performance.
Dakota Silencer Varminter 4.0
Silencerco Omega 300
Thunderbeast Ultra 7 or 5
This will be going on a dedicated hog/deer 6.5 Grendel with a 18” barrel. Looking to shoot 123-130 gr bullets.

Thunderbeast is widely considered near the top of the pack of suppressors. Sico is probably the biggest company and most likely to still be here in 20 years if you need service. Never heard of Dakota.

I have a .30 caliber Thunderbeast Ultra 7 that I run on a 16" Grendel and a 8" .300 AAC.
Top notch performance and amazing quality.

Of the three listed, Thunder Beast and Silencerco. Might want to consider the Larue Surge as well.

So, I am leaning towards the Silencerco Omega, but have question concerning maintenance of a supressors.
From a maintenance standpoint, is there any difference between Silencerco and Thunderbeast?
What maintenance is required on a suppressor ? This will be my first purchase of one.

Have eleven suppressors. The only ones that need maintenance are the 22LR ones that I clean every few months. My oldest is my AAC 762SDN6. Shot thousands of rounds over the years in my 10.5 5.56 and 8 300blk and some full auto dumps for fun. No issues. No cleaning.
I would skip the Ultra 5 if this is your first suppressor. Stick with a regular sized suppressor instead of a compact for your first one.
