It probably is. Those barrels are still a bit unknown. I haven't seen any real feedback on them or actual measurements taken from the chambers. I've used those hand guards before and they are "ok". A bit of a pain to install since you can't get a wrench on them. I ended up using a strap wrench. The anodizing wears off kind of easily as well.

Personally I'd pick up a complete BCA upper for just a bit more but with a BCG included and already assembled. The BCA hand guards are better quality and their barrels are pretty well proven. BCA upper receivers and BCGs are good quality as well.

Here is just one example. Only $66 more but with the complete bolt carrier group and already put together for you.

I have one with a 18 inch heavy barrel. Fit and finish are good. Locks up tight on my S&W lower. I've put a few rounds through it with a GI trigger and can get MOA, but most groups about 1.5. I just put a POF trigger in it today so I expect to be MOA regularly with a decent trigger. For what it's worth the barrel is profiled and marked EXACTLY like the BCA heavy barrel.

DO yourself a huge favor, and research feedback on that company, before you buy anything from them. You won't find very encouraging news...

I like Aero and have had great Customer Service from them in decades of sales and builds but, with that said, 6.5G is new to them... or at least the barrel is and they are not offering BCGs right now.

I do know the sub $400 uppers from BCA are getting top notch reviews and even seen this one for a good deal-

4 years ago, Aero Precision bought Ballistic Advantage. The AP barrels are all BA barrels.

I've got one of the 18" SPR profile Grendel barrels, and so far, it's shooting sub-MOA. Right out of the box. I'll get the pics up soon on it.

AP also hasn't been selling their own stuff for decades. Not even one decade, yet. Around the 2010~2011 period, the only way to get an AP-manufactured set was to buy the Surplus Ammo & Arms (SAA) set. Before that, AP made sets for other manufactures, including Spike's Tactical, but they didn't start selling their own brand, as AP, until after that. AP branded uppers and lowers aren't a decade old yet, not in 2018. Few more years to go until it hits that mark.

I read a lot of reviews before I purchased from Delta Team Tactical, and was a little skeptical but after purchasing from them on two different occasions, I would say do it. I did have a problem with one of their off brand drop in triggers I purchased, but they were great to work with on the exchange for a Rise Armament trigger. Overall I would say I had a great customer experience with them, and will buy (with confidence) from them again. I'm not trying to say that the bad review are not true, but I personally was pleased with my interactions with them. They responded in a timely manner to my emails and I didn't think their shipping times were bad at all. Just my 2 cents FWIW.

The link shows it’s an Aero Precision upper and the barrel is by Gorilla Machining. I went to the Gorilla web site and shows they are in Orlando, Florida. They don’t list any 6.5 Grendel barrels but all other barrels I looked at were priced around $100.

Sounds like they used an Areo upper to attract attention then used a cheaper barrel to keep the price down.

I haven't purchased anything that was DTT branded, so I can't speak to quality of the Delta Team Tactical brand products.

However, I have purchased other parts from DTT and had only one problem: SOP is to hold the entire shipment for one out-of-stock part that was not marked as on order on the website. (I'm sure if a favorite brand did this, it would be a shipment quality-assurance feature or something... Rolleyes) But this is the 21st century and I'm a send me whatcha got right now kinda guy.

Other than that, friendly customer service, reasonable ship times, no problems.

Spot on V2. However, those may be okay barrels. I have not seen any reviews on them yet or tried any of them myself (that I know of for sure). Now I have sold some of the DTT 5.56 barrels. They may have been from the same place. Those did work. I can't speak to their accuracy, but I know people are using them as plinking barrels without issue.

That photo really takes me back...

I worked part-time for my best friend's dad in high school. He ran a custom awning business out of 2 bays in a small warehouse. He had 3 different companies: residential, industrial and commercial. All this time I thought he was just an honest hard-working guy trying to provide for his family. His customers seemed to like his work. But now I know the truth. His cost-saving efforts were unsavory and maybe even un-American. Just don't know how I'm going to break the bad news to Gary... Big Grin

All kidding aside...

In business, it sometimes makes sense to have multiple entities (taxes, regs,...). It's not always a sign of nefarious behavior. Also, a small shop in a bad part of town can deliver a good product or an honest service.

As far as Vulcan goes, I myself bought 2 Vulcan lowers for super cheap just out of curiosity. One survived a partial 6.8 KB by splitting down the right side of the mag well when the metal Barrett magazine ballooned. Zero fragmentation. The other is still in use on one of my favorite .223 plinkers. Over 3000 rounds so far in the last 8 years. (There's a photo of it in some thread on the site showing off a rubber-coated CF hand guard)

I used to expect it to crack 'this time out'. Now I just shoot it like any other, but only under a gas-tuned .223 upper.
