Also been watching Rex's sniper 101 on youtube. Its way over the top for what most people are going to want to get involved in. But it is a plethora of good information in my opinion, that translates into a lot more than just the extreme long range shooting he does.

Yup, Rex's youtube channel is full in great info., from shooting to reloading. I must have watched more than a dozen of his video's and all were worthwhile.

I have been using JBM for more than a decade. It is my go to exterior ballistics source.
Almost everyone of these, including Hornady, use variations of the Ingalls tables.
If you want something different try the trajectory calculator on Ammoguide.com. This one actually does a time integration of the bullet’s flight using the coeffiient of drag and mass of the bullet. There’s also a ton of Grendel load data on the site.

The most important thing in dealing with ballistic calculators - Absolute accurate data being put in.
If your rifle "Zero" at 100 happens to be .3 high and .2 left, (between clicks) you need to account for that. Your actual "Zero" is probably closer to 115. Hornady does not allow for left right correction, JBM IIRC does.

JBM offers a whole to of options. Indded the horizontal correction is there, along woth cant angle and a bunch of other options.
