Thanks- almost forgot the most important part... how it shoots. Got this group a few months back. The hit on the top edge was my sighter, adjusted and shot 5 more. Just over 5" @ 1000yds.

That's impressive daddy...1000yds no less. What load/projectiles were those? Did you coat your upper? I noticed no Aluminum in the white.

Thanks. 123 smk's, AA brass, CCI450, 28.6 IMR8208. This load was just a hair on the hot side so I've backed off to 28.3.
I haven't coated where I milled out for the BAD lever yet. If you look close you can see a small section in the white on the left side of the rifle. I intend to coat it and the barrel soon.

I noticed that. I'm still looking at your 1000yd group with a 19.5" barrel Grendel. What were the winds like for that string? How much would you say the Zeiss glass played in achieving good resolution of the target? Did you have to do a lot of focusing to get good target clarity to reticle contrast?

Conditions were as about perfect as you could ask for. 5-10 mph winds from 5 o'clock, warm & overcast. No mirage. All 6 rounds were shot within a minute or so.
The quality of the Zeiss glass sure helps a lot. This particular day I could even make out the hits. I have to do a little adjusting for reticule contrast at extended ranges but not much. Could be just my eye though. I pretty much make the adjustments with out thinking about it.
