actually i am in the process of doing the final bedding and decided to throw a scope on it to see how the rings fit.

That's beautiful. Looking forward to how it turns out. Looks like you have room to come down on the ring height for both clearance of the OBJ bell and bolt throw.

The barrel it's a 24" Krieger m40 profile.
Boyds stock, and bolt handle added by pierce engineering.
I did the free float and am in the process of glass bedding.
also did a trigger job on it.
Optics were just put on for pic

How did you handle the magazine situation? I have played with Grendel rounds in my .223 Hawkeye and they just don't stay put.

I think you'll need to source a .243/.308 box and follower/spring. That's what I did in my bolt grendel. A .223 box is too narrow and squirts the rounds out.

nope,we used either a .223 (.204) or a .22-250 magazine if i remember right, and a guy named Andrew Delikat at AD Arms tweaked it and it feeds fine.
