A5, DCM, whoever has contacts.... can you ask these guys if they might try to come up with a mag that works for a savage short action (see various posts on the troubles folks have had), snapping into the original DBM bottom (more prevalent in savages) ... or maybe into the AI bottom (less-often used). Giving the flush fit but great feeding into the action.

No, nobody knows. They were due out originally in the middle of 2018. There have been repeated delays.

So, since these mag's are not yet available, anyone have any recommendations as to what brand of mag work's best in the Grendel and where I can get them? I'm new to the Grendel world and am just about complete with my build.

Cpd and elander is where my money would go.
You may need to do a lil tweaking with either company's mags or they may work perfectly right out the gate for you.
My elanders I had all needed to be cleaned ( gunk in the mag) and have a small spot filed down inside the mag that was catching the follower. Also had to leave them loaded for a week or so too break in the spring. It was way to stiff and would cause feeding issues. After all that they ran perfect.
I bought all the elanders I had through AA.
The cpd mags is all I use now, most the high cap mags needed the ejection side feed lip to be tweaked after that they have ran great not one issue. Their high cap mag is a 26 rounder not a 28 rounder, that's a marketing mistake, aka mislabeled. Their 10 round mags gave been perfect out the gate and hold 10 rounds in the mag.

I have contacted Magpul about making Grendel mags, so for it isn't on their radar. So all of you unwashed, e-mail them or call them and lite a fire under their butts!

CPD, E-Lander and AR-Stoner so far working for me. The AR-Stoner I suspect are really CPD with a different name on the bottom.
Also the CPD 6.8 SPC seem to work also if you already have them. I haven't cycled them live fire, but they look exactly the same and took the grendel rounds I loaded in them just like 6.5 mags. Only difference I've seen so far is they say 6.8 on a grey follower.

Don't waist your time. Many and I mean many, many, many, many people tryed that already.
That's why amend2 is the first to do it. Magpul may do something now for the simple fact of losing market share but I still highly doubt it.

Ok, Thanks. Since all the sites advertising the Elander mag's seem to be out of stock, I'll give the Cpd a try. Just for clarification (im new at this), is Cpd that you mentioned short for "C Products" mags?
