Cant believe I missed this thread.
Our MKZ line is designed to have less engraving friction than the other LFP's mentioned.
The bearing surface is shorter as well.
Those that are loading them and not just hypothesizing on them find they are more pressure friendly not less.
The BC of the 105 MKZ is .480
The BC of the 118 MKZ is .505 this has been confirmed by your own Predator Down who has taken them out to 600 and 1000 yards. He also took his deer with them this year.
There are a number of confirmed kills on game I have not posted to this forum yet. The 105 MKZ took a 500 lb cow elk at 315 yards this year, DRT.
Most find accuracy nodes sub .5 MOA
Our biggest challenge is getting the word out on them. Once folks try them they keep coming back.

ROS - First, thank you for the work you are doing with this. The information you are providing is invaluable.
Second, I would like to suggest overlaying a number or letter or even the bullet weight under each bullet in the photos (in the first summary post) to make it easier to correlate to your list (which would need another column to correlate with unless you use the bullet weight). Again, this is just a suggestion for the next time you update the group photos.

Any update on the availability of loaded ammo? Getting these rounds into the hands of hunters who don't reload would help get the word out.

The biggest challenge has been brass. Now with Starline getting on board I am excited.
A cost effective reliable source would be key.
It seems to be good brass in the 6.8, fingers crossed its the same for the Grendel.

I was just looking at the tables kicked out by strelok for the 85gr version of the TREX bullets compared to the 110 to see if it warranted a closer look and noticed the BCs are missing on the main LFP table, but were posted here.

Also, It seems the 110gr maximum range might be a bit low. Unless it is of a different alloy composition than the 85gr, it would seem to expand out to 500yds anyway @1747 , or 550 @1660 or if 1600 is the threshold as claimed, then 600. I'm sure the pros will decide, but thought I'd mention to Rick about the missing BC numbers.
Now, I just saw another proposed?? Offering from maker bullets of 105gr. On the new 65G bullet thread , and it also looks like a real humdinger!!

No ballistic gel, but shot through a 4 log and into the dirt. The dirt did contain stones. May not be perfectly scientific, but some may find the results still relevant Wish I had a chrono, but charges listed on the whiteboard should give some insight.

Dude, Thanks for - close to semi real world results, aka-- hitting bones , etc. in a deer for example.
My pal at Federal - he shoots through gel that has bones in the thick gel slurry to mimic real world hunting results. Good improvise.
I'm going to try to get ROS-rickoshay- to try a few more of my GMX lite pills through his awesome bbq'd ribs. Inside the gel slab.
I'm sure he'll eat them before the test starts-lol....

A very interesting read , I just wanted to comment on the max range value
In the referenced thread in post 1 of this thread it links to the other thread containing a chart along with recovered bullets
In big bold text it says the max range and data isnt meant to be applied to hunting / taking is game which is a great disclaimer.
But
Why do manufacturers list minimum opening speeds for bullets (which is what the max range is tied to) ?
Id hazard to guess the opening of a bullet is in theory tied to hunting / taking animals.
After all why would they even bother listing the opening speed if we are just putting .264 sized holes in paper....
So perhaps an additional column for hunters that indicates max effective hunting range ::: I feel like 1000 Ft/lbs is the least amount of Energy that I would feel ethical in putting into an animal with the expectation of killing it instantly...

Just to clarify: there is all sorts of charts/scales/classifications for terminal ballistics specific to animal size - I get that, the 1k value I reference above would be my thoughts on feral hogs and deer (medium to lower large bodies).
So if a column for effective hunting range is too convoluted I understand just leaving it off the chart.

The Cavity Back 118 grain will get you to 450 yards with double caliber expansion, holding near 1000 lb-ft of energy. It stays sub .7 MOA to 1000 yards as tested by PredatorDown at supersonic speeds.
I dont understand what else you gents could want in a hunting bullet. That's also capable of ringing steel to 1000+ yards.

The MOA of a group is a function of a number of variables and not just the bullet (ammunition, gun, environment, shooter and shooting platform). Many rifles, including the majority of AR' are simply not capable of sub MOA regardless of the projectile. I get that you are advertising your product and want to sing its praises but given you are erring on the side of exaggeration I feel obliged to put the reality-brakes on. No offense.
The most important issue is however...have your bullets been cryoed?

Many of our projectiles have the capability to stay sub .7 MOA to 1000 yards. Of course provided the shooter and their equipment are up to the task.
I go to my friends at Long Range Shooters of Utah for exactly that reason for long range testing.
I'm very sorry to hear your AR's are not capable of sub MOA performance. All of mine are, even my 7.62x39.
Our projectiles will never be the limiting factor for accuracy of someone's loads.
I personally have to be able to shoot a projectile sub MOA before I will release it to the public. In fact not just me but multiple trusted testers before a projectiles release.
Heres a 12.5in 6.8 SPC @100 yards, 2 weeks ago. 4 shots sighting in a 1x6 Vortex Strike Eagle optic, nothing special. Now if the 6.8 can do this surely many Grendels can.
I have a lot more from all the calibers we do if you would like to see them. Shot by me, from my AR's.
