WOW, excellent GUN! The Cerakote turned out VERY WELL, plus the group size is EXCELLENT!
I also recently built a Grendel AR with the Gibbs side charging slide. I really like it.
I have found out the hard way that you need to anneal the grendel brass after a max. of three fires. had problems resizing the brass so the shoulder to base dimension was correct.

Awesome looking rifle! Damn, that skin looks cool. THANK YOU FOR THE PIC OF YOUR GROUP! Not enough guys are doing that. I want to build one, and these are the kind of groups I expect for the $ I would be spending. Otherwise I can do it for $1K with a bolt in more powerful calibers. (Like my Savage 7RM...That's one that can reach out AND bring something down.)

Is that what others are finding? Annealing is something I've never done, but have thought of it after 6 cycles, but my brass is usually done by 10 anyway (in 243 & 270).

Builder didn't say what brass he was using but I would say very few folks are anealing brass. Especially not the lapua or hornady.

How is it that I'm just seeing this thread!?! VERY nice builds, form and function perfected. I thought I was done spending money for a bit until that tripod... Pricey but I think I could replace three of my Harris bipods with that one. The Cerakote stole the show though. Well done!

which ball head is that? Did you shorten the center post? (I want to duplicate the setup for the Wounded Veterans I guide.) I am building a pair of rifles for Wounded Vets right now using the Gibbz upper, how do you like it? They are helping me a little with a small discount but want to make sure its a valid use of my money. (I'm spending my own money on the rifles because my non-profit wont foot the money for the rifles even though they will be used by a lot vets for our hunts)

That is the sirui c-10 ball head I think. It's the one that comes with the pod. I didn't shorten the center post I just removed the center section from the tripod. It's a quick unscrew of the middle section. I keep it on the tripod and then unscrew it if needed. The middle section works great for sitting prone or shooting prone down a steep slope.
I love my Gibbz. I wouldn't do it any other way. Works, functions and performs flawlessly with style.
