No more mental health kids in the news for a ,mass shooting! Not allowable for a nation of gun owners. The parents need to be held accountable then- think upon that ..

A local pastor and his family were killed by his medicated son, who'd found the "family AR" behind a door in the house. Apparently the weapon was for home defense, as the residence was semi-rural. What was inexcusable was that the home was empty, except for the young man, and the family members were ambushed as they each returned home. A totally shocking tragedy for the community. Everyone who knew the family was completely at a loss for explanation, and none ever suspected the boy was as troubled as he had to have been to commit such a deed.

There is absolutely no excuse for leaving a loaded weapon unlocked and unattended. Regrettably, that is a lesson that this family will never get to learn.

In a similar vein, I am astonished at the number of violent episodes involving young people on psychotropic medication. When is this country's medical community going to finally understand that these drugs are being overprescribed to so many children???
