+1 LRRPF52...The ganster movies that we have all seen were the good old days, when the crimes were small time in Illinois. Now we have gangs roving and running the streets of Chicago. The polititions are dying of "suicides", Christopher Kelly (asprin poisoning, last words"tell them they got what they wanted.") Michael Scott (gun shot after recieving a phone call while on the way to visit his mother). Two Govoners in jail, with the people who tried to buy the Senate seat still running loose. A state that is soon to be unable to borrow any more money, yet is still giving it away to the people who took care of them. Most people have no idea of the sad state of the political machine that seems to have gone out of contol. They lock the bathroom doors in the schools because it is too dangerous for the kids to go in and the teachers are afraid to. We are in trouble.

LR, I think you got it wrong. Jim Thomson didnot go to jail. He is the lawyer defending Jim Ryan who was just parolled. So, four of the last five, which proves that they don't all get caught. The news media does nothing to shine a light on the corruption, it has only been the feds, but now they have protection there also. The papers and NPR are their spokesmen.

Imagine if we had a Republican President who had come from a Senate seat, and then the Governor of that State had attempted to sell the seat to someone else within the Republican party. What efforts do you think the propaganda apparatchik would go to in order to make the connection with the President and the audacity of dope corrupt political environment he came from? Their silence on this whole Chicago mafia machine is deafening.
