Keep it simple. All that needs to be said is you will not watch any NBC programming as long as Bob in on the air. No need to waste any more time than that. They care about ratings more than anything else.

That comment was made to the thread in general. You seem to be a reasonable person and I didn't interpret your comments in a negative manner. I'm frustrated too. I'm sick of being marginalized and deamonized in the "main stream" when, in fact, WE are the majority. I just wish we would stand up and stomp this crap out before it builds beyond the point of no return.

I saw a picture of this moron football player and he had one of those piercing across his eyebrow; Is it me or don't you think that anyone who is stupid enough to drive a spike through a perfectly good eyebrow is probably too stupid to own a firearm? I think so. FURTHERMORE, if we can be honest here for a moment, we all know what ethnic group in this country commits the vast majority of the violent crimes ( especially among themselves) despite being only 12 % of the population.; so if Bob Costas was going to be logical and intellectually honest ( there is an oxymoron for you ), he could have suggested banning guns to high risk population groups!!!!! Of course that would never happen because it would be "racist".... But unfortunately it would also be TRUE ( which is precisely what makes it "racist").

We just had a married couple attacked, and one murdered in their sleep by a home intruder late the other night. The news crew ask the neighbor why he thought they were targeted since they were older and were so well liked ,and he just smiled, lifted up a handgun to the surprise of the reporter and said they didn't have one of these. I bet this won't make the national news or Bob Costas opinion speech.

I wonder if that car had one of those evil 8 cylinder "assault engines"??? Or did it maybe have one of those "assault bumpers" with a bayonet lug?... People shouldn't be able to have those, just the police and military.

had the tv on in the garage while working on my truck tonight ... more pontificating by the NBC NFL guys tonight - something to the effect that the players were asked to voluntarily turn in their firearms- Tony Dungee said he asked his players one year to raise their hands if they had firearms- "you'd be shocked at how many raised their hands" "one guy had EIGHT".... wow, what a bunch of anti-gun TURDS. Lets not fix the personal/mental/relationship issues that are the root of the problem, lets just blame guns instead.

I've seen studies cited that show 80% of NFL players own firearms. Fortunately, most are still eligible because they don't have felony convictions. Not sure that's true in the NBA!

Nope, a FELONY is almost mandatory before you will even be considered for any major NBA team... I think its called "street cred" or some such crap. I used to remember a time when people were actually ashamed of having gone to jail; Now its celebrated asa badge of honor. Go figure!!!. And guns are the problem? Yeah, right.

It's all about the lack of accountability and presonal responsability in society today. Kids are being raised to believe that nothing is their own fault. Guns are just an easy place to point the blaming finger at. Somebody loses it and does something like this and there has be be someplace to lay the blame. You can't blame the shooter, it wasn't his fault. Certinly couldn't be the result of bad parenting. The current lack of morals in society today? Of course not, dont be silly. The glorification of violence in nearly everything is a non-issue, so it MUST BE the gun itself.
Nobody should be forced to take responsibiltiy for anything anymore. Unless of course that person is G. W Bush. Just about everything is his fault...
