Brass showed nothing at all. My past experiences with the powders I have on hand is telling me to try power pro varmint next.

Worst group was .420 MOA, best was .170 (5 shot groups)

Getting hard to determine if it's ammo variation or me when it gets in the .2s as I'm not very good at this. 22" criterion 1:8 hbar ar15.

None. Nothing at all. Very surprising considering much more powder and I'll be in the case neck. I tapped the side a little to settle the powder and saw no growth after seating so if it's compressed, it's only a little... but still visually it's in the holy crap area looking in the case before seating. It's why I didn't run to 33gr as planned, i feel like I'm out of space.

Try your higher powder weights with a drop tube. Don't know why drop tubes work the way they do but it can make a difference.

Bottom to top is low to high charge.

You can see a progressive flattening of the primers with charge weight increase there.

Looks like your velocity and groups are where you want them to be. You could pick a load based on brass life or velocity and be happy mass-producing it.

I would agree, primers are starting to flatten, but not to any degree I would be concerned about based on known loads that are within pressure limits. I think with this powder and bullet it's harder to get yourself into any real trouble. Going to do a work up with ppv next. I want to max the velocity so I can keep them above 1750fps at 550 yards.

i moved it (target) to 75yrds because of the wind, but it looks like i should have left it at 100......not sure of the velocity but im guessing in the 2400-2450 range i think...should work ok i think out to 350yrds

have you had any kills with this bullet?? we dont have any hogs around here yet but we gots plenty of yotes and im thinking this bullet will get it done with yotes

I have not as this load test was the first 20 I have ever shot of this bullet. I wouldnt be able to use them for hunting anyways due to the state restrictions allowing use of only lead free projectiles, but given the velocity and their design I would imagine old wylee has no chance of survival. If you run this through external ballistics you are retaining over 700ftlbs of energy at 550 yards which should be more than enough to down a yote. My usage will be for steel and target shooting to 600 yards. It will really depend on how well these can buck the wind vs the 130gr doing about 2500fps. Calculators say they are within an inch of each other if there is a 5mph cross wind, but the drop is significantly less on the blitzking.

105s doing 2400-2450 is really slow for its size and weight. I would think 2600fps from even a 18" would be doable without even really trying.

visual reference. these guys are short and pointy... and apparently stupid accurate without even trying (no seating depth tests conducted on my end)

im just guessing on the vel. and i used sierra 107 data...for the 107 the range is 27gr-29gr of AR-Comp

according to the lyman 51 book i just got because it had AR-Comp in the grendel loads it can get up to 2572 vel....and so i just picked a mid load of 27.5 and 28gr just to see what it would do.....the 28 load did open up some...not much but it is bigger....also the case is really full..like right at the bottom of the neck full...so 29gr would really be into the neck

these were loaded to 2.250 oal to fit in the mag.....lol...and my rifle has a 18" barrel too..book says they used a 16" barrel for testing..so i guess they could be running faster than i think...i really dont want to change anything right now.....they could be running faster than 2450...i wouldnt think they would make 2500...but they might

i will probably never take them past 350yrds

i also loaded up some sierra 120gr pro hunter and they did pretty well too...i want this to be my deer bullet...people say it works really well on deer..we shall see

I would be inclined to say you are closer to 2600fps at 28gr w/ 18" barrel. if you can, take the same load and shoot it again 100 yards further and note the moa shift. you can take that info and put it into a ballistics calculator to get a idea of speed.

that is a good idea for sure... i do need to shoot the gun in a colder temp than it was sunday...was having some ejection problem with the hornady 95gr bullets in the colder temps but i may have got that working so i will streach it back to 100 and see what happens

Think it's time to push higher to 33.2gr. Rather than use arbitrary load length of 2.275 I'll sit .030 off the lands at 2.325. The extra case capacity might get me there. Add a crimp and I'll be close to what I want out of this. Might switch to br4 primers as a last step and rework the last .3gr to see if I can squeeze that last few fps without going over.

Having no reference data makes load development a longer more expensive process than I care for honestly. If this does what I think it will, I'm done and calling it good.

Also revisiting 32.5gr of staball match. Trying 5x with crimp and cci 41s, 5x with br4, 5x with br4 and crimp.

PPV was very interesting. have chrono data, will share once I pull it. Just shy of 2850fps average at 31.8gr.

22" barrel, but switched to a uintah bolt action upper. Either at or over pressure for ar15 platform I would imagine. Primers starting to look a little flatter than I would like to continue much further.

Low to high is right to left. Need to buy another few hundred of these pills as I think ramshot tac might be pretty good too and I'd like to continue testing.

My figures show you have to be in the 2830fps MV area to get 1750fps at 550 yds with the 105gr. Looks like you got there with PPV powder.

Blue collar reloading still has these in stock. Just ordered another 400. ramshot tac next. 2520 might get interesting as well but its probably a bit too slow.

Maybe I shouldn't change a thing. Accuracy is better than good out past 500 yards. Ran the 31.8gr ppv load at 2.275coal. Did not disappoint at all (have video)

Things to note were the green tip left a green spot on the steel. First time I've experienced this so it was interesting. Repeated shots on the same steel would make exact point of impact easy to identify... look for green dot.

They seem to basically explode on impact, and don't leave much of a mark. Might get hard to see at 1000

I'm beginning to think these bullets are just accurate, powder choice seems to not matter much except to determine desired velocity. These blitzkings might be easier to find a good load than the 120smk.
