Haven't had to do this on Grendel yet but need it for 6.5*47 (Small Primer pocket calibre).
It would be easy to make a dedicated stem threaded for a press and spud for the ram. Something more sturdy than the RCBS kit.

That's intresting. When I lose hornady brass it's because the primer pockets open up.
I may pick this up and see how many more loads I can get out of them.
Klem. How many more loads do you typically get on your X47 brass doing this method?

About two so far, for those that have had the treatment. I've only just started doing this based on that Forum discussion we had not long ago, then the virus came along and poured cold water on my range access. Two more is better than a poke in the eye and I have only had to squash each case the one time. I'm going to keep doing this until something else happens and let you know.
I've read guys tried using a large ballbearing and hitting it with a hammer although that seems more likely to widen the mouth. If you could support the web from the inside of the case with a rod that was the diameter of the calibre; clamped in a vise, then I figure you could use a standard flat punch on the outside base of the case and tap it a few times. Save you the cost of the swager kit.
