Yea after all the broken promises Ill wait till someone on this forum posts a positive review.
I placed an order from Optic Planet a month ago for two items showing In Stock, after a few weeks I pulled my order up and hey, one item still has a 21 day delivery time and the other is 7 weeks. OP has no clue what In Stock means.
If youre as dumb as I am to waste your time with OP be sure to click the check availability link under the picture. They do a good job of hiding that info.

300BO is easy because mag dimensions are practically identical to 5.56. The Six8 mags were made for a foreign military contract in conjunction with LWRCi and require the enlarged magwell found on Six8 receivers. Magpul will not make a Grendel mag because it'd be darn near impossible to get the round stacking and feeding correct in a polymer mag that fits in a standard AR magwell and meets Magpul's reliability requirements. Amend2 is having to do the funky stack/feed thing to get their mags to work, and I can't imagine Magpul going to the trouble for what is - to them - a vanishingly small market.

LOL, I like the high standards argument. It is shorthand for "can't figure out how to make it work."
Last I checked, the Grendel market is growing.

Get someone with $$$ to burn who will fund development and production of a Grendel lower receiver (with enlarged mag well a la LWRC's Six8), together with matching polymer magazines, and I'm sure MagPul would be happy to make and market them.

I'm being somewhat tongue in cheek Stan. Agree with you about the poly and double stack...
However, a mag can also be stack-and-half or a double then single stack...
Since I don't do mag-dump shooting with the grr, anything that has 7-10 rounds and feeds correctly into the rifle would be fine with me. It doesn't have to be strictly the double stack style.
It really comes down to money and market share for magpul... they don't see enough return for this size of a market, to spend $$ to develop it. I would think that adapting the mag design would pay off more than changing the physical design of the magwell.
And to be fair, those amend2 guys certainly have been struggling to bring out such a mag.
I just figure that with all the engineering ability in a larger company, they would have somebody who could innovate a bit and thus succeed.

I've owned a few rifles with single-feed magazines, and they were a PITA to load. I sure would not want such a magazine for an AR-15.

Well if they do release it and they hold the price to what he states in the video, I will buy one and try it for sure. (And I'll buy more if they work). It's all the promises and deadlines that came and went that ticked me off. I will say....at least they didn't release a magazine that was DOA with failures like some have over the years.
For those of us that don't like a lot of mag hanging out the bottoms of our AR's and RAP's, a 5 rounder would be nice also.

IF they can pull it off, and I say IF..... I would certainly look at one for my RAP.
It would not be essential, but if it's an improvement, that would be nice.
