Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - Bigs28 - 12-04-2019 Did you call tbac directly? Silencer shop. Com didn't have them "in stock" but as soon as you ordered one they ordered it from tbac. They received it and forwarded it to my range in about 30 days time. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - A5BLASTER - 12-04-2019 Bigs28 Wrote:Did you call tbac directly? Silencer shop. Working on finding me what I want. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - TNhuntsman - 12-05-2019 Just the thread I am looking for, the ultra 5 sounds like a good can, how easy is it to switch between a couple grendel ar15s (12" pistol and 16" rifle)? Is the ultra 5 still recommended? Is the ultra 5 still recommended? They have a perrty good vid of their cans on a grendel ar on youtube. I talked to the owner about what can would be best for my needs, going from 12.5 to 16 then to 25 on the bolt action and back and he suggested the 7 inch can. But if your only jumping from a 12 to 16 inch ar, I would think the 5 inch can would be good for you. I have put this on hold because not even thunderbeast can find the can I'm wanting in stock with one of their venders. So it's on hold till I can get my hands on the exact can I want. That are I might get a diffrent can and do a one stamp gun and just pin and weld it on the 12.5 and later on get a thunderbeast to move back and forth on my other rifles. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - Bigs28 - 12-05-2019 TNHUNTSMAN The tbac cans come in direct thread or they thread onto their muzzle breaks. It's kinda decieving because the direct thread just has one of their muzzle breaks loctited into it. If all your barrels have the same thread pitch then buying the direct thread would be less expensive then buying a break for every barrel. If you end up buying the direct thread and get a different barrel in the future you can send the suppressor to them and they will remove the brake from inside without damaging anything. They just thread on so easy to move back and forth. I see, leaning towards the TBAC ultra due to weight over like the sandman. Sucks, the ultra 5 is hard to find, might have to look at the ultra 7, be first of the year before I get started on the suppressor, building the pistol right now. Hopefully availability will be better in 2020, would like to have it in my hands by hunting season next year. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - therealtrikky - 12-05-2019 I'll probably catch 12 rounds of heck for this (and it'll probably be well deserved).. I've been running a Crux Saxon 9 on mine, I know it would have been quieter if I'd ordered a 6.5 can works well for me & is light. Only advice I would offer in regards to Crux is sit back & watch to see what the company does under it's new structuring (F1 has taken over Crux). I've always said they'd be an awesome can if they would get on it when it came to customer service. Did they say why they aren't getting more cans to their vendors or when they thought they might? Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - ricsmall - 12-06-2019 A5 Check out the SiCo omega 300. You’ll never wear it out, as it is constructed of stellite and 17-4 baffles, and sounds really good. It’s a mix of cones and radials which helps as the gas pressure gets lower. Very efficient can with a really good tone, and I’ve shot one on my 12” Grendel. Really good sound at muzzle usually means loud port noise so I run adjustable gas block with H3 buffer and a heavy spring made for 458 socom. This is my setup I run with my form 1 suppressor, which is very similar to the omega. Very little change in POI, and has improved accuracy on every rifle I’ve shot it on. Also, the omega can be configured as direct thread or QD, all included with purchase. Full Auto rated and a touch over 6” with flat end cap and direct thread. 14 oz IIRC Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - A5BLASTER - 12-06-2019 mtnlvr Wrote:Did they say why they aren't getting more cans to their vendors or when they thought they might? They are backlogged and struggling too keep up are catch up to demand. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - A5BLASTER - 12-06-2019 ricsmall Wrote:A5 I have looked at that one a couple of times now. Right now it's probably going to be a Griffin and I will pin and weld it. And later get a 6.5 ultra 7 for the other 2 grendels to share. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - Jake TN - 12-06-2019 I use a dead air sandman-s on my 18 inch Grendel and my 11.5 5.56. The attachment method is second to none and there is no minimum barrel length requirement. Silencer co omega is pretty much it's competitor and the omega can use the same ratchet attachment as dead air. There are too many youtube videos of baffle strikes on the omega that I decided on the dead air sandman s. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - Les - 01-21-2020 Pretty fond of my Omega, with muzzle brake removed and flat plate installed. There are too many youtube videos of baffle strikes on the omega that I decided on the dead air sandman s. Those baffle strikes for the most part are due to user error on the ASR lock up. Six is one half dozen the other. All these locking systems that use teeth and a taper are built on the same principle, the omega has a spring retention system you lock after screwing can on. Lots of folks engage this while screwing can on and it won’t seat against the taper. 3-4 shots and Blam!! Baffles are hit or the can flies off after hit. SiCo ain’t making crooked cans and their locking system works. BTW, Grendeltexashunter, I’m not being argumentative toward you, I just think there’s a lot of bad internet info out there and I try to clear it up when possible. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - Cheyenne Bodie - 01-25-2020 TBAC is where it's at. They are backlogged frequently, but it's because their cans are so good and they constantly have to do .gov runs on top of the civ market demand because of it. If you're serious about precision TBAC can't be beat, and their CS is great as well. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - snarkscarbine - 01-25-2020 If you?re planning to put a tbac on a short Grendel, get ready for some gas in the eyes. Can for 12 inch grendel sbr - TNhuntsman - 01-26-2020 The new TBAC Dominus has less back pressure than the Ultras, would be a better choice for a short barrel grendel if you choose TBAC. Couldn't that be mitigated with an adjustable regulator and/or adjustable carrier? |
