Another dumb question...on a YHM flip up sight, what is the size of roll pin used to affix the gas tube to the sight/gas bloc? Can I run down to the hardware store and get any 'ol roll pin of the correct size, or are they of a special type or material... Thx!!!

From that chart, gas tube roll pin 0.312 long, 0.081 diameter. Commonly available 5/64 size pins (0.078) seem to work fine and pins obtained from various parts vendors measure the same as common 5/64ths pins.
I found this by using google. You should be able to find this pin at Ace Hardware or an auto parts store.
Years ago I bought spare detents, springs and roll/compression pins for the AR-15. I owned several AR-15?s and most of my Friends plus all the other Troops were issued AR-15?s. Those spare parts came in very handy but didn?t amount to much money.

Do you work at or own a commercial gun shop....At Faxon i looked at 240 items that came up for a ambidextrous barrel ext search...i prefer a nickel boron coating again thank you so much BRB OKC

Naw...just a guy building his first AR...Gunsmith I bought my lower from recommended them for barrels... Email them and see of they have a barrel with nickel boron...

FYI....Leftie Maxim bolt headspaced just fine on Faxon barrel...at least on my build... Range report coming soon...did not want to shoot until I got the thing headspaced...YMMV

Hi all - I'm building a 6MM ARC AR, and looking to get a 6.5 type II lefty bolt - Maxim seems to be the only place I can find them. Does anyone know if Maxim bolts have any kind of coating/treatment other than phosphate?
