I never really liked varget until I got a 308, pretty much the best powder for that caliber. I have had some real good compressed loads in 223 with it also, but usually run 50 gr vmax in my 223 so benchmark and H4895 usually work better. When the loads were chronoed it was 20* F so maybe the BL-c2 loads would have been faster. The 29.0 varg load is shooting into 1/2 moa if I can consistantly drive the rifle. Sometimes I get 4 in a hole and one out or 3 in and 2 tossed out. I did shoot today and had 1 3 shot group (not throwing out any flier) measure in at .230", it was nice enough that I decided not to spoil it with more rds. So far all the shooting has been done prone on frozen ground or broomed concrete off a bipod and rear bean bag. Ordered a 2.5-10 Viper PST MOA from Scott at liberty optics, great guy and great discount.
