The "latest suppressor thing" is rooted in the Virginia Beach shooting, Trump's remarks that he dislikes silencers and will "seriously look" into banning them, and the bill (HEAR Act) introduced by Senator Menendez. It has nothing whatsoever to do with abortions.

First -- is there any validity to this thread against silencers other than President Trump saying in an interview that he would 'consider' it? So far I haven't seen any alerts about it from legitimate pro gun organizations.

But I didn't read where his words said. (I'm going to seriously look into banning them)
Kind of seems like a lot of folks are putting words together.
I don't have a dog in this fight, so it is what it is.
I don't own a can and have no intentions of ever owning one.
But I can't help but notice there is a lot of assuming and word playing going on around this subject.
Honestly I don't really care if they get banned or if they dont.

OK -- so President Trump said he would look seriously into banning them.
The first question was answered. How about the other two?
1. What Senator or Representative has made statements opposing this measure AND has offered to be lead on fighting said action if it happens?
2. What are you doing about it?

No stanc I wasn't kidding. I never watched that vid. I was going off the info I had from the posted link of some stupid written report thing. That was in this are maybe a diffrent thread, can't remember the thread it was, but it was on this site.
