The first 2 years of Obama's presidency they controlled the House and for 4 months of that time they controlled the Senate, giving them total control for that 4 month time period. Yet no gun control laws were passed! Are yall saying this was a brilliant plan that forced the Republican's into banning stuff and it's not their fault?????

That time can not be compared with now because of all the shootings in recent years.
I heard hillary on national TV, speaking fondly of Australia's gun control.
Scared the sh*t out of me too.
There are plenty in the democratic party now who feel the same way or worse.

No limit on the firearms a person may buy in a specific period
No sales tax on firearms or ammunition
No personal property tax on firearms or ammunition
No limit on the number of firearms a person may own
No limit on firearms a person may keep at home
No arsenal license required
No gun locks required by law
No state back ground check for firearms purchase
No regulation of private firearm sales between individuals
No legal duty to retreat or flee if attacked
No permit needed to operate a shooting range outside cities (99.4% of Montana)
No licenses,permits or registration to own machine guns
No licenses, permits or regulations to posses or use suppressors
No restrictions on firearm type or caliber for general game hunting
No regulations of gun shows or firearm sales at gun shows
No permits for gun shows
Virtually no restrictions to shooting on public or private lands outside cities
We do have a law establishing the first week of March as Montana official week to celebrate our right to keep and bear arms.
The third week of September is Montanas official week to celebrate our heritage and culture of hunting game animals.

You can't be a 'republican', enact gun control, and then get re-elected with out a boogyman. Lots of people are scared of the boogyman.
Oh, and lets not forget GW Bush saying he'd have signed an extension to the AWB if congress would have sent it to him.....

I don't like Trump and did not support him in the primary but felt I had to vote against hillary.
Please everyone, remember the two conservative Justices he put on the Supreme Court. By this, perhaps the definition of the 2A is safe a little longer.
I appologise for mentioning democrats again but they are very dangerous now and no discusion on gun control is complete with them.

And please, I ask that you do not turn try to turn this thread into an argument over Libertarians vs Republican vs Democrat vs Greens, vs what ever party.

Again....point being...it doesn't matter how they vote. Either you get do deal with it, or the next generation does. Its a fast train with the dems and a slow one with the reps. Just like spending. Government is going to government, and believing ANYONE involved in it really wants to serve YOUR interests.....is laughable. But i'm an eternal optimist.....:o
I truly hope his two appointments are truly conservative. That will be worth dealing with his idiocy if they are. I have my doubts which i hope are unfounded. Again, however......not sure it matters.....
