To be honest. I think they will get it ironed out and these will sale well for them but after what I put together today and got to play with some. And will be playing with more and more over the next few days.
I'm probably not going to buy any, due to moving my grendels over too the six8 sized recivers and mags.

I for one respect the heck out of them for not letting market pressure rush them into lowering their standards. Realizing this can’t be a high volume product for them, surely it’s a background project. If they are holding the line on controlling their process quality, then good for them.
FAR better to delay a few months than rush it out, have an issue, and end up killing the project.

They did say it was a mold modification and that the mags were out to retest. So hopefully it irons out everything they wanted too do.
I agree it's better to get a product to 100% and delay the release then too release and half cooked product to try and recoup cost and fix issues once their in the market place.

I talked to someone from Amend2 on IG the other day and they said the "final production test samples" were going out for testing last Thurs Jun 6. It's still gonna be a few weeks before you see them available for retail.
From their IG:

Sort of reminds me of driving ing cross country on family vacation when I was a little kid. We had an 8 hour drive on the first day. We left home and I got tired of being stuck in the car after the first hour and asked my father, "How much longer until we get there?" and he would reply, "Just a little while longer." Twelve hours later and 6 hours into a snow storm, I was asking "How much longer?" and got the same reply, "Just a little while longer." Our 8 hour drive turned into 16. There was hardly any way to know when we would arrive until we got there.

The 130s from Federal have been out since March of 2018. If what he said is right, they have been tweaking for over a year about 6 months or so before this thread even started. That is quite the snow storm.
Getting the product right is a good thing, for the customer and especially for the company.

Heavier projectiles mean the spring and follower lift characteristics against the cartridge stack have to be taken into consideration.
People found out about this the hard way with 300 Whisper/300 Blackout, which us why Magpul made 300 BLK specific AR15 mags for it, in addition to the ogive clearance necessary for some projectiles and COLs that 5.56 mags don't provide due to the forward guide rib intrusion.
1650gr of projectiles up front in the stack is a lot less than 7200gr of 300 BLK subs.
With Grendel, the differences aren't so drastic though comparing 123gr to 130gr:
3075gr for a 25rd mag vs 3250gr with a 130gr.
1230gr vs 1300gr in the 10rd mag.

From amend2: Fairly positive well wrap up testing and go into production tomorrow. If thats the case we would have them for sale in the next 2-3 weeks. Worst case scuhhenario is end of the summer though.

Lmao. That might be double true in my case lmao. I have moved on too a pmag setup, testing is going great so far. Just need too find more time between doctors visits and therophy too get too the range and finish it. Plus about a million other things.
