Gentlemen, Warriors, and Vile Unwashed of the Grendel Horde, MONSTER 16 barrels are NOW IN STOCK!

Probably the most useful, multipurpose, all-around barrel length that doesn't require a special government permit.
Black nitrided chrome-moly-vanadium (CMV) steel for all-weather durability.
Tactical and hunting profile shaves weight where not needed and keeps it where it does the most good near the chamber to help put the center of gravity close to the weapon's center of mass so it handles like a much lighter barrel. The "bull" barrel section near the chamber effectively making it behave like a shorter, stiffer barrel also stiffens the barrel for accuracy. This also puts more steel closest to the operator in the event of God forbid! a catastrophic cartridge failure. Barrel weight: 1 lb 14.8 oz.
M4-style barrel extension, slick nitrided.
Rifling is 1:7.5 twist 5R Hybrid with the edges of the 5 lands at a steeper angle than traditional 5R for a better bite on the chronically undersized Wolf steel-case bullet but still retaining the ease of cleaning and the more gentle bullet engraving of 5R. Rifling is our Easy Engraving reduced-height lands for less bullet deformation and less friction down the bore.
Chamber is a SAAMI Hybrid, which means all specs are SAAMI including the compound throat but the case neck has been tightened slightly for better accuracy while maintaining reliability.
Muzzle threads are 5/8-24.
Price? Nobody can touch it. You get Ballistic Advantage or Faxon quality for a Bear Creek Armory price. OK, well, not quite the bottom basement price of some Bear Creek barrels, but there is NO WAY you get this list of features and innovation anywhere for this price.

I should note that my gas block journal length is designed for the popular 1" micro gas blocks and so its length is 1.3" (this accommodates up to the JP adjustable block). This is to shave weight.
A standard A2 front sight tower needs a gas block journal of 1.9", so it is incompatible with my barrels.
Also, since the majority of users will position their micro gas blocks under the rails and not use the old-school handguards with a handguard cap my gas port position is specced so one can butt up their gas block right to the gas block shoulder to align the block's gas port over the center of the barrel gas port.

Thanks for the info! Planning on ordering a 12" when my next paycheck comes in. I would have spaced it out without this info. Nice to know I can just push it all the way to the shoulder and clamp it down.

The one I got last week does as well as the 12 inch I had. 5 at are just under 1/2 at 100 yards with my 120 gold dot handloads with a 4-20 athlon scope and 10 under are just at 1 inch at 50 yards with a 2moa red dot sight.

Sorry for my ignorance I am new to 6.5 grendel builds. I stumbled on your barrel and bolt options. Who manufactures the barrel? I've seen people mention faxon and green mountain. Also, how does the barrel compare to say the faxon 16 inch gunner for $100 dollars more?

J76, I got Faxon started in the world of Grendel when I first contracted with them a few years ago to make barrels for me. But when my contact left the company and the new guy jacked up my cost to ridiculous levels the way a contractor will give you a ridiculously high quote to politely say "get lost" I found Green Mountain (who is not trying to compete with me with their own line of Grendel barrels). Green Mountain is fantastic to work with and their quality is second-to-none in their category.
Anyway, all this to say I'm intimately familiar with Faxon barrels and I will not give a similarly specced barrel of theirs anything over my Green Mountain barrels even if theirs are $100 more. Green Mountain and Faxon and Ballistic Advantage and Wilson Combat are about the same category, so I'm not gonna ding their barrels, but I will say guys who have my MONSTER barrels made by Green Mountain often comment on the quality and value for the money.
Nobody in America today touches the value I bring to a Grendel barrel and soon to be 6mmARC for the money.

I just put together two 16 uppers using Monster barrels and bolts. Both uppers have Vortex 1-6 scopes and 2/3 man silhouettes at 500 yards are easy pickings. Im very impressed with the quality of these barrels and the bolts. I was using American Gunner ammo btw.

I just received my 16" the other day. Still a ways from having an upper together. I hope this this the correct forum to ask: does anyone feel a need to use an adjustable gas block with the 16" Monsters mounted on a carbine lower? Standard spring and buffer weight. Kind of curious about it as I have not decided on a gas block yet. I'd just as soon put on a nice, basic GB like a BCM or similar. Less expensive for sure.
To elaborate. I'm not interested in "tuning it to perfection". I just want a reliable rifle. If the Monster's gas port allows for pressure in general realm of normal, then I'd not fool with an adjustable.

Unless your running a suppressor a standard gas block should be fine. I have three Monster barrels, 12 (CLGS), 16 (MLGS)and 18 (MLGS) and they all have A-2 flash hiders, carbine length buffer tube with supplied buffer spring and buffer. All three are gtg and properly gassed but I dont use suppressors.
