Another issue is that only 5 round mags are available at this time. I seems that it would not be too difficult to make a 10 rounder by someone that was handy with sheet metal. The mags are very simple in shape with only one welded seam. All things considered, I am very pleased with the rifle and the cartridge.

The issue with the grouping is complicated because I have to shoot left handed due to a cataract on my right eye plus troublesome arthritis in my right hand making it difficult to tell how much pressure I am applying to the trigger. I hope that this will inspire others to comment. The rifle is very well made, in my opinion, and I am not sorry for buying it.

I did my CZ before they were available, 22 inch Obermeyer barrel custom turned so it fit the stock of the 7.62X39 carbine with the stock channel opened up to get rid of the notches for the rear sight while keeping the same 60 inch radius those barrels had. Like Sinclair said pillar and glass bedding is a needed modification to the 527s. the inletting is too generous on material removal IMO. Result is a rifle that cn shoot much better than I cn, even though .3 inh groups are common at 100 yards with reloads.

It is not that I am displeased with the 5 rnd mag, it is just the fear that some day I will be out in my neighbor's pasteur and get attacked by a herd of ground squirrels. Five rnds might not be enough to keep from getting trampled by the vicious little critters.

As far as the action goes, I've been able to get some good accuracy out of it with reloading, .6-.75 MOA. Makes me not want to give up on it, I just wish there were more options as far as stocks go. If messing around with the MTR stock doesn't go well, I may grab a Boyds stock next.

I've pillar bedded it and worked up a load with 108 Scenar at 2750 and it shoots amazing. Easily a sub .5MOA rifle, it likes having the bullets jammed into the lands. I haven't done much load development with any other bullets, this one just worked so well and I've shot it out to 800 with excellent results.
