A little bit misleading on the 5.56, though. Pay attention to the impact points vs the 7.62x39 and the Grendel. Hit the target higher, better chance its going over.
I want to use the Grendel, regardless, because of the reasons he mentioned, but the demo is a little staged.

I agree, it was a low point of impact. The other thing is he didn't try to shoot through the car with the 556.

The AK is actually a lot more accurate than people think. If you feed it with good ammo, and put decent parts in them, they will keep up with the M4. The bullet is not designed to be long range like the M4 rounds, but I have shot out past 300 with open sights on a man sized target with no issues of misses (that were not my fault). The trigger is crap in original ones, and that is the biggest contributor to the accuracy issues.

You must have a beter example of one than I have seen, I've shot quite a few of them and never seen one that would come close to an AR in accuracy. I did see Sherry Galligher shooting pepper poppers with an AK at FT Benning on Easley Range in an impressive way. She shot 20 pepper poppers with 20 shots full auto.

OK, that's weird. I wasn't seeing vids I knew were there on my laptop with IE, and now I'm still not seeing them with Safari on my IPad.
I do love that buff vid. I showed that one to a bunch of folks at work. I know it's really all about shot placement, but it's still pretty cool.

This is a funny thing about the AK, because it is the opposite of what all the propaganda about it seems to be the accepted truth...
Examples:
The AK is not accurate.
The AK is the most reliable assault rifle in the world.
My experience is the opposite of both those claims.
With the Finnish brass-cased ammo and their bullets, the Valmet and Sako rifles can be 1 MOA guns easily, but they are billet receivers and high-end barrels by Finnish Army requirements. That said, I have friends who have taken rack-grade COMBLOC guns and relieved the inside of the gas tube so that it no longer makes contact with the gas block, and the gas block is held in place by the guide bosses that lock into the trunnion only. Using good East German or Lapua ammo, those guns will often surprise you for accuracy, especially when topped with optics and a solid mount. For open-sighted guns, you need the front sight adjustment tool so you can get the windage right, unless the front sight tower is so canted that a good zero is futile, which is common on AK's, and many civvy AR15 vismods for that matter.
Will they compete with a DCM-grade AR15 with match barrel, & match ammo? Nope.

The commonly-accepted pillars of "wisdom" on AK's are built on propaganda from both sides.
