If I read this right and have read this in several places I will avoid Amazon.

I deleted my wish lists and will make every effort to make purchases elsewhere. Not that hard to do.

Notice they had to emphasize ammunition for "assault weapons" instead of just rifle ammunition. This is Psychological operations (PSYOP) 101 at it's best. ??? I'm no great fan of Amazon, or maybe my brain just went to sleep, but I don't think it's reading that way.
Actually I don't see much different than what they've been doing for quite a while. They haven't sold ammo for I don't know how long. Used to sell reloading brass, some types mostly Hornady... most other components, bullets, primers, powders, - I haven't seen on there.

agree that this doesnt appear to be a big change. That said, Amazon is run by a known leftist. If you care about that, think twice before buying there. If not, carry on.

I am sorry, but were any of y'all buying a lot of gun stuff from Amazon before this?? From the sounds of it, you were not. So this won't impact you anyway. As noted above, there really isn't any significant change to what they have been doing all along anyway.

Thanks for the info. And yes I have bought a bit of gun related items from Amazon. I try to avoid it but some items were more cost effective going through them. Not worth it now

If the list includes new items, they aren’t things I’ve typically shopped amazon for, in the first place. As for the bulk of the list, it has been that way for as long as I know, and I understand the notion that I cannot get combat boots in a Victoria Secrets.

It is a play on words created by the anti gun crowd when they needed an evil sounding term to ban a certain class of firearms that had only cosmetic features they disliked. Technically they are semi auto rifles that don't have a select fire feature. It is an ominous sounding term to scare ignorant people into supporting firearm bans or sell firearm rags, "as Stan has pointed out" to feed small egos in the firearm community. People can dismiss what amazon is doing, but they are, "stopping the sale of perfectly legal products from their business" which does have a social effect of demonizing the right to bear arms. I'm rather shocked pro gun people down play such actions. I guess some frogs feel the heat rising in the pot more than others.
