    Hello from Wanaka New Zealand

    Building a 6.5 Grendel from a savage 16fhlss,( yes lefty) from a 7mm-08.
    Most parts are in route to NZ apart from a barrel which I am still sourcing.
    Great forum and glad to be in the fold.

    Welcome to the Hoard! I am sure that will be a fun project. Sure would be nice to be able to just throw on a suppressor if you like as well!

      All my rifles are suppressed now, this will be no exception.
      If I like it that much might even build an upper for the Bushmaster

        I was jealous enough at how disgustingly beautiful Otago is sir (assuming it looks like the pictures), without you rubbing it in that you will be able to hear stuff when you get old. : (

          Welcome Doon, will be watching as you get your build together. I have thought of a Savage build for a while or a Rem with the nut similar to the Savage but prefer the Savage due to ease of bolt head change.

            G'day mate, welcome.

            Wanaka is a nice place. NZ's attitude towards suppressors couldn't be more opposite to ours over here in Oz. Doesn't make sense does it?

              Yes very lucky to be able to live ,hunt,fish,ride motorbikes here.
              Yes suppressors are very popular here, still get a deaf ear when the wife is bleating though.
              Might have to install one on her

                  Interesting? Which one? Installing the bleat suppressor or building the rifle? Pictures will be interesting, either way.
