    New Member from Southern IL

Hi all, been reading and trying to learn here for a bit. Looking forward to getting input on my second AR build, which is definitely going to be a Grendle. Have a stripped upper and lower bought, but trying to get my hands on a barrel an bolt. Thanks for letting me on the forum. Eric.

Welcome to the board. Hopefully with two new bolt mfg's, the barrels and bolts will be easier to find.

Just FYI, midwayusa.com has 16" and 18" stainless barrels with the bolt in stock for $299. Better get em while they last!

Welcome! Let one of your first tips here be to move a bit farther South! Not only would you be freer to enjoy that Grendel but you would be closer to that Rakkasan yhea? : )

                Thanks

Thanks All, I also am a SIU grad. Would like to move some day, but I'm only a couple hours from Fort Campbell. I almost pulled the trigger on an 18" barrel, but really want a 20". As far as how my first build shoots, it shoots great for a 5.56. It was my first attempt and I had some help from some good friends. It makes for a great varmint rifle. Thanks for the comment on the camo job, I do some Cerakoting on the side and enjoy doing it. It's a great firearm coating and they are a great company to deal with. Here is a close-up of the dust cover that I did a little extra stenciling to.
