  • Howdy From Texas

I have been kicking around the Idea of a 6.5 Grendel for years, finally going to put one together, as soon as money and parts availability allow.
Plan on using a Mega Lower and Upper with a 20" Shilen barrel and bolt
plan on handloading for it (my .458 SOCOM has never seen a factory bullet)

Hope to glean some great info and save myself some money and time

    Merry Christmas to you all

Thanks John, and thanks for processing my account, Thanks TxGunner.
John I managed to find 2 consecutive Spikes Kiaser lowers with the EGA from SOG
at the Pasadena Gun show after the last election $235 apiece. (my first AR parts)
I got a bad dose of BRD from that.
A little back story on the .458S I worked with Marty TerWeeme at his day job
at the time when he was developing the round with Tony Rumore of Tromix
But it wasn't until 2 years ago I had Marty build me the Teppo Jutsu upper
it was one of the last he made before he went overseas.
He suggested I look at the 6.5 Grendel for an intermediate AR round, I kept wanting a .308
caliber round in an AR-15 but he showed me the 30s just arent effecient enough in that small
of a case, where the 6.5 Grendel was.
He seemed to always have a lot of respect for Bill Alexander.
