    New guy from Arkansas

    Hello all, names Chris. I'm a novice reloader, novice long range shooter (1000m with 30cal bolt guns), and long time hunter. I have also been "building" my own AR15's for a few years now.

    I just built my first 6.5G upper and I am jumping over here on the 6.5 forums for more information and to learn what I can from experienced members with regards to reloading and ballistics of the 6.5/.264 round.

        This is the build so far. I am not good at waiting, so I bought what I found available to start with which is the AR-Stoner barrel, but I am planning to get a order in for a Saturn or Shilen barrel in the short term and enjoy the stoner while I am waiting the multiple months they are stating.






        The gun itself is just a mix of parts from the new and used parts bin.

        I have only gotten to shoot it 12 rounds so far which allowed me to zero at 100m. Lower end barrel, so I havent really be worred about the barrel break in as I do with my other barrels.

        I also have bought, and have on order my 6.5 reloading gear as all I reload for currently is .308 & .223.

          Welcome to the forum, I am Kansas but my grandparents lived in Mena and I have lots of found memories of hunting with Grandpa in SW Arkansas.
