You would need a different barrel and bolt for the Grendel.

The rec7 is a piston gun if you want to keep it set up for piston you will probably want to call barret to get a gas port spec if switching to DI you will probably need a different bcg it you'll probably be easier to yield a new upper but if you want to keep barret upper and piston defiantly give barret a call the built the gun the can advise you on the proper path to take
