TX new member & new Grendel owner

I found this forum after purchasing my first 6.5 Grendel upper and having problems. I'm glad to find the forum and will post my issues with my upper in the proper section.

Hey, John, I live in the mid-cities of D/FW (Colleyville) so we're not too far away. My goals with the 6.5 Grendel are to have a versatile hunting caliber in the AR platform that will also allow me to experiment with a little longer range shooting. I didn't spend a lot of money on my upper initially simply because it's more of an experiment at the moment. If I decide I really want to pursue long-range shooting, I'll look at upgrading if this one doesn't provide the accuracy needed. If I just keep it for hunting, then I'm pretty sure it will do for most of the shots I'll ever take. It's a fun learning experience more than anything.

JT, you are pretty much surrounded by Grendelizers and not too far from the fun at Waxahachie. Are you buying or building?
