Welcome to the clan, H1, from the great nation of Texas! That is an awesome build, can't wait to see the finished goods. What part of Cannukland are you in and what are your goals?

Hey guys. Thanks! I'm from southern Ontario. No real goals in mind for the rifle since we can only shoot them at ranges here. I have a small .223 AR with a 7.5" barrel and collapsible stock. So I though for this one I would go the exact opposite, hence the 24" pipe and 6" cheese grater on the end! Went with the Grendel because its a bad a** looking round and wanted something different.

I spent the winter of 2007 in Toronto. It got a little chili for a Texas boy. Pretty countryside around there, though. Hope someday to go back for a while, lot of friends up there.

Funny you mention that John, I got married just outside of Austin Texas, near lake Travis. It was the very beginning of June and it was a little warm in a Tux for this guy! It was an outside ceremony! We both really enjoyed Texas though and plan on going back one day.

You picked a pretty part of Texas, I spent almost a year in that area back in the 60's when I first started my career. It's a "little warm" down here most of the year even without a tux! Next time you're headed this way, holler and some of us can show you a lot more of the place.

Nice rig, especially for Canuckistan. I?m at my camp in Mississippi but have a home in the Schwa near the lake.

Finally finished it...the scope and mounts are not permanent, just what I had laying around for pictures...lol. The handguard does come all the way back to the upper as well. Just didn't notice when I was taking the pictures as I didn't have everything mounted with fasteners.
