    New grendel owner

I'm currently one part (handgaurd) away from an 18in Faxon barreled hunting rifle. .Ive also recently taken up reloading as a hobby and a way to create lead free loads required for hunting in California. I plan on taking mostly deer and boar. If was to get lucky on a tag draw an Elk, pronghorn and, big horn sheep may also be available I'm new to this so any and all advice appreciated.

Welcome. I also unfortunately live in Kalifornia. I would suggest going to either the Barnes 115 grain TAC-TX or the 120 TTSX. Either would be an excellent choice for what you want.
