Well it looks like we may finally be able to hunt with our AR's in PA for 2017, so I need a bigger caliber now. I am here to learn from the experts what this round can do and how it compares to the rest.

Except for elk. The state has decreed a .270 caliber/130 grain bullet minimum for Wapiti.

For whitetail and black bear you are good to go and well armed with the Grendel.

I would like to see the Game Commission go to a minimum sectional density standard because a 129 ABLR is going to penetrate better than a 130 grain .270.

Thanks for the welcome, I can always use a 30.06 for Elk if I would get lucky in draw. i am in the process of looking for an upper in 6.5 now.
