    Another new guy

I've been pondering a new rifle for a while and finally decided on an AR. Uncle Sugar had me carry one forty years ago so I've been able to resist buying one til now. Since I decided on the AR I did a little research and lo and behold! A 6.5 (my favorite bullet!) for the AR. New dies! New loads! New rifle!

I ordered an AA w/ 20" bbl yesterday, went ahead and ordered the dies also.

I need to do some more research before I decide on mount & scope.

Already decided (after some searching here) I'm gonna start w/ 8028XBR & see how it likes my 100gr HP and 120 gr SP.

It'll be a paper puncher and coyote gun.

I just have to read & sit on my hands til it gets here!!!
    Who's a good boy?!

Welcome to the forum, from North Texas. We are primarily handloading 120 123, and 130 gr bullets for pigs with 123 being the bulk of the rounds. We are using some 100 gr bullets to try to duplicate the 308 trajectory for a Bullet Drop Compensating scope.
If you have pigs in your area (of course you do - it is Texas) the 123 SST does a great job.
